Gordon Hart

 

Biography

Gordon Hart was born in Oregon and grew up in Maryland, in the Washington, DC suburbs.

From age 8 Gordon worked in the family photography business as a darkroom assistant and later as a wedding photography assistant.

In the late 1960s and early 70s Gordon had a wholesale picture framing business for several years in the Washington area, supplying art galleries, artists and photographers.

Later, Gordon and his wife had successful careers for many years as professional musicians, traveling extensively in the US and Canada, all the while documenting his travels in photos.

In 1978 he and his wife, Connie, settled in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. And continued their careers as musicians.

In 1987 they moved to Port Orange, FL., just south of Daytona Beach, and in 1990 Gordon entered the IT field and worked in IT for 20 years until he retired in 2013.

He moved to Dunnellon, FL. to pursue his life long passion for nature photography.

Most of his work is done while kayaking or hiking.
